William is the second child and first son to Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth Darcy, and was born on December 16, 1996 at the local hospital in Derbyshire. He has spent most of his life at his family's estates at Pemberley (five minutes away from Derbyshire), and his family life is full of love and support. Personality wise, William is, perhaps, most like his aunt Mary, preferring the company of books than to people and trying to sound older and wiser than he really is. While he inherited his mother's social skills and pleasant conversation skills, he, like his older sister Celia, inherited his father's natural, unpleasant deposition. He has no mind for numbers and business unlike Celia and his father; Fitzwilliam and Elizabeth have pretty much agreed that his mind and temperament is more suited for a philosopher or writer. William is a very intelligent and witty teenager, who tends to let his arrogant and unfriendly manners turn the tide of his popularity in every social situation. He is usually "discovered to be proud; to be above his company, and above being pleased; and not all his large estate in Derbyshire could then save him from having a most forbidding, disagreeable countenance"...
